Our Story

Upscale Resale began in 2018 as an Outreach event of the Greensboro Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. The mission was relatively simple: raise money for local food pantries in a way that was joyful, inclusive, and 100% donation-driven. No upfront costs — just generosity, fun, and community. In 2026 we officially became our own 501(c)(3).

We invited women to donate beautiful handbags and jewelry they no longer used, and one gift quickly became many. Around tables filled with laughter and friendship, volunteers turned those donations into something meaningful — meals for our neighbors.

From the very beginning, The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer has supported and sponsored this event, helping it grow year after year. With donated spaces from Weinberger’s, The Lake Oconee Community Church, and The Lake Oconee Lutheran Church, along with generous sponsorship from Bank South, Upscale Resale has continued to flourish. What started with $4,000 has grown to $35,400 raised in 2025 — every dollar donated directly to area food pantries.

This year we have additional sponsors to help with our overhead. Helping us with marketing is Bank South. Helping with Non-profit and any other expenditures are AssestGrade and Meeting Premier Services. This way we are still able to donate all profits from event sales to our food pantries.

This event thrives on donations, volunteers, and shoppers of all ages, working together with joy and purpose. And we’re just getting started.

We’re already planning our next event on September 26, and we’re accepting donations now.

Come shop, donate, volunteer, or cheer us on — and be part of something truly special.
